The 2 Major Keys to Success

The 2 Major Keys to Success

You've definitely fell into temporary failure at some point of your Life, questioning your Rights and Wrongs, and sooner or later started to wonder:

What do I need to reach success?

If you've never felt so, no need to continue reading! You've either grasped the trick to success and happiness, or still living in the illusion of success. In the latter case, I hope you get out of this "safe" Bubble ASAP before it inflates and blows up your dreams. Trust me, the sooner you get rid of it, the lighter the pain!

You may have surfed the web too looking for solutions, read and listened to expert people's advices, but still felt down… And here's the catch:

There's no manual for success!

As you read books, listen to podcasts, or experience it yourself, you will notice eventually two dominant patterns, one linked to your inner self, the other to your surroundings. So here I am sharing my humble knowledge, which I hope will inspire you, at least, to rethink your Status Quo.

1) Desire, your inner compass

Desire - the Burning Desire - which wakes you up in the morning and keeps you up late at night. This desire ignites when you get to understand your vision, your definite end goal, the true purpose of your temporary journey as a guest on Planet Earth. Once you find your true North, the "tools to success" you read in Books come without you noticing: Self-Love, Patience, Faith, Persistence, Gratitude, Planning, and so forth.

It's crucial, however, to understand the difference between temporary goals (like earning a raise, buying a car, or getting married, for instance), which only bring momentary joy and are usually materialistic; and ultimate goals, which bless you with endless happiness and, as you may have guessed, happen to be non-materialistic. You may have noticed that I didn't specify examples for these end goals, since it's up to each person to find and define them. Remember, the trick is to know that there are no tangible rules for success. Nevertheless, temporary goals are of no less importance, once you learn this simple concept: Define your definite purpose, unravel your burning desire, set your dream end goals, and then, accordingly, draw your path of temporary goals - some of which are planned, the rest may be not - which must serve as means to reach your ultimate target.

2) The "Muse", your outer compass

By Muse, I mean the external source of inspiration. It could be a Mentor, a Teacher, a Friend, a Lover, a Team of Masterminds, all of them, or all in one. This Muse will push you even faster and further to reach success. Compared to Desire, which is an internal source of motivation, a Muse is your outside motivator, a person or team that drives you forward in your quest for success. Once you build your strong team and meet your influential idol, the remaining "tools to success" you once read will eventually come along: Confidence, Forgiveness, Resilience or what have you.

It's critical, nonetheless, to distinguish temporary influencers from lifelong supporters. At first, you'll learn it the hard way: You'll meet people and build mutual trust or find a Mentor and start getting inspired. But unfortunately, not all of them will stay here for you. You may hence find yourself in deep sadness, in misery, desperate of your wrongly choice; Don't. I know it's hard, and I understand it's easier to think of it than to do it, but with time and experience, you'll learn to find the right Muse, and most importantly, you'll acquire the skill to learn from temporary mentors, as this will have huge influence on the future updates of your successful self. Arguably, some claim that having a Muse and reaching for support are toxic; I believe it's untrue. What's true instead, is to never link your end goals - your ultimate desires - to this Muse or Team of Masterminds. This may sound ambiguous, but I want you to deeply reflect on this one. It's either you meet remarkable people and learn from them (and ideally influence them too!) or you build a strong support system and find a lifelong partner, and forge your ultimate goal with their sincere help and care. Either ways, it's a win-win for both parties. The key is to understand what you're keeping from every Human-to-Human relationship.

I'm lucky to have found my purpose in Life and set my ultimate goals on which I reflect everyday during my morning meditation. I'm equally lucky too for the handful of people who shaped the person I am today. This article would have never been written without you! No need to name any, since I'm pretty sure you know yourselves well, and hope you're reading this sentence, with a lovely smile on your faces :)
